Peru is South Americas 3rd largest country; divided into 3 districts – central high Andes Mountains; low lands coastal regions to the west and the Amazon to the east. The mountainous regions in the Andes produces good coffee and in the north, Peru is well known for its good quality, organic certified coffee. 

60% of the beans grown are Typica & Bourbon with the remaining Caturra and Catimor. Peru is one of the major producers of organic and Fair Trade coffees in the world. Beans are grown at an altitude of 1,000 to 6,000 feet above sea level. Coffee is specified by AAA (highest grade), AA and A grades; sieves are no longer used to grade coffee.
