Very small country situated between Mozambique to the east, south and west; Zambia in the northwest and Tanzania in the north. The Great Rift Valley runs through the continent and in the centre runs Lake Malawi (also called Lake Nyasa). 

Coffee growing dominates the northern region of the country – mainly by small plot farmers; the altitude varies from low-lands at 1,000 to high lands of 2,500 meters above sea level. Coffee is individually handpicked and organically managed to control disease and pests.

Harvest is from April to September.
