View Larger MapEthiopia is located in the Eastern part of Africa, the birth place of the Arabica tree. It boarders Eritrea in the north; Kenya in the south; Sudan in the west and Djibouti and Somalia in the east; mountains range from 7,800 to 12,000 feet above sea level.
Ethiopia’s coffee regions are Harrar, small farms in the east at high elevations and coffee is processed by hand. Ghimbi which is in the west of Ethiopia and coffee is grown at high elevations. In the south is Sidamo, coffee there is grown in low lands. Coffee is classified by the Grade of the bean.
Harvest is from October to December.
