Referred to as DR Congo, borders Central Africa Republic and Sudan to the north; Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi in the east, Zambia and Angola to the south and Republic of Congo in the west. The terrain to the east is of mountains with tropical rain forests, on the other hand the central area consists of low-lying terrain. Coffee is grown by farmers on small plantations and the main coffee bean grown is Robusta.  

Harvest is December to May.
