Covers almost half of South America and is the largest nation in the continent. In the south are the highlands, while in the north is the Amazon. It is the world’s largest coffee producer. Coffee is grown in the states of Parana, Espirito Santos, Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais and Bahia. Robusta coffee plantations are increasing in Mato Grosso, Rondonia and Goias.

Beans grown are Bourbon, Typica, Caturra, and Mundo Novo. Coffee is grown at elevations which range from 2,000 to 4,000 feet above sea level. Beans tend to be round and sweet as they remain inside the fruit (dry-process) before processing. Brazil coffee is known by the name of origin and production e.g. Santos.  Harvest is from June to August

TORIBA FARM INFORMATION
 
Toriba Farm had as founder an Italian family of last name Marinelli, immigrants from Napoli region. They arrived in Brazil in the beginning of the 20th Century.
 
Since 1990, Toriba belongs to Mr. Ivampa Palhares Lopes, who is a traditional coffee producer there is more than 40 years. And he knows to give the appropriated valor to their coffee plantation.
 
Besides coffee producer, Mr. Ivampa is a coffee classifier and arbitrator of NYBOT, this way; he knows how to prepare his coffee appropriately. All his life is being dedicated to the coffee businesses.
 
The whole area gets special treatment with organic and chemical fertilizer, as well as, preventive controls against pests and diseases, everything supervised by an Agronomist Engineer.
 
This farm is located between São Sebastião do Paraiso and Franca, South of Minas, very close from Mogiana region. Toriba coffee area has an average altitude of 1050 meters, ideal for the coffee trees. The total area of this property is 200 ha, of which 20% are cultivated Bourboun variety and the remainder divided between Mundo Novo, Catuaí and Catucaí.
